Gord Bell Memorial Scholarship Program

GLRL is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Gord Bell Memorial Award Program.

 The awards are open to all active players in GLRL (played Ringette during the 2024/25 season) heading to their first year to a post secondary institution and will be awarded annually to the two (2) players that best exemplify a passion for the game of Ringette regardless of region/area played as long as the athlete participated in GLRL league play.

 Gord Bell is a member of the Ringette Hall of Fame and was the President of CORL from 1985 until early 2005 when he passed away. This award is in his memory and recognizes his contributions to the sport or Ringette.

The following documents must be included with your application: 

  1.  A 300-word maximum written document  outlining the significance of participation in Ringette to your personal development
    2. One letter of reference from people in the Ringette community. (coaches, executive members, officials etc.)
    3. Detailed Ringette resume (single page) covering all aspects of your Ringette activity 

    Application FORM and all documentation should be submitted to your Associations’ GLRL representative no later than April 30, 2025 for consideration by GLRL.
